Christmas Jollies

Oooh here comes a big one...

Our little Xmas meal went well. The goose had defrosted which was a plus. Quite difficult to balance timing of all the food and trying unsucessfully to keep Alex and Nicky out of the kitchen so I could attempt to host my own party. But due to their keeness I could settle into a few drinks. And with all the food people brought I think everyone was stuffed. Secret Santas magically worked out despite a couple of no-shows and were quite amusing. Dncn seemed to enjoy his Fireman's Calendar particularly. ;-)

Vicky's wedding the weekend after. It was beautiful, magical etc, etc... Lots of boys in full military kit...(none that good-looking unfortunately.)

We left way too early and rather embarrasingly we got there before anyone else...not even the groom was there. So we had to kill some time wandering around the grounds of the very posh school it was being held at.

I'd never been to a Catholic service before....they're quite long...and involve lots of hymns and the preist sings funny little bits in between everything. Then the drinking began solidly from 16.30 to 12pm. Alex was hammered which I found very entertaining as I'm usually ahead. I swear the band playing at the reception was actually Busted. They were very good. (Not that I'm a fan of Busted...but they were v good at picking up different styles) Me and Al were very impressed and kept telling people "How good is the band!" They started to look very bored with us... Bit of drunk dancing and home to bed.

Nick's bday on the Mon...me and Nick got horribly drunk, and got chips on the way home.

Then the next week and a half over Xmas I had flu and a stinking cold that wouldn't go away. Highlight of Xmas is my beautiful black 30GB iPod.

NYE clubbing at Canvas with Al. I was slightly worried about going clubbing just the two of us but it worked really well. With seven dancefloors any more people would have just involved spending the whole night trying to find each other. Danced my little socks off for 6 solid hours. Laurent Garnier and Francoise K were magic. Then we went to Al's mates house where his mate was Dj'in. Midday I couldn't take it any more and we went home to bed.

And that's about it. Now back to Uni...
